- Go to www.facebook.com and log in to your account.

And depending on which privacy setting you chose for Show everyone my new nickname , either everyone , only confirmed friends or no one will see that you use a different name on Facebook . If someone searches for you with one of those terms who wouldn’t normally see your nickname , they may still find your profile .
For example, if someone searches for Mark Zuckerberg but he hasn’t confirmed them as a friend, they might still find his profile even though only his confirmed friends would normally see his nickname Zuck .
Note: All language versions of Facebook currently support nicknames except for Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese . Nicknames must be unique so if someone has already claimed a particular nickname , you won’t be able to use it as yours .
